Our Doctors

Mark R. Miller, MD

Dr. Mark MillerDr. Miller has many years of experience in the field of ophthalmology and has been practicing in the Treasure Valley since 1999. Fully board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he also has additional subspeciality fellowship training in the field of cornea and external eye disease.

Dr. Miller graduated Summa Cum Laude from BYU and received his medical degree at the University of California, Davis, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his residency training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the nation’s first hospital devoted to eye care.

After residency, Dr. Miller was invited to perform a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of Minnesota with some of the nation’s most renowned surgeons in this field. Following this intensive extra year of training in diseases and surgery of the cornea, Dr. Miller came to the Treasure Valley, where he enjoys providing general ophthalmology and subspeciality cornea services to patients from throughout the western Idaho region.


Bret Williams, OD

Dr. Bret WilliamsDr. Williams received his bachelor’s degree in zoology from Brigham Young University in 1995. He graduated Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2000.

Dr. Williams grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho. He has been practicing in the Treasure Valley since 2000. He has extensive experience in family eye care for all ages. Dr. Williams specializes in the treatment of ocular conditions that require Scleral rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Areas of clinical interest include diagnosis and management of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. He provides full scope optometric services and comprehensive contact lens care.

Dr. Williams enjoys backpacking and mountain climbing. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife Becky and their three daughters.


Rob Christensen, OD

Dr. Rob ChristensenDr. Christensen joined Treasure Valley Eye Center in 2013. He is a native of Boise, attending Capital High School and Boise State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in health science in 1993. Dr. Christensen then went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry, in Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1997.

Since that time, Dr. Christensen has practiced family eye care in Washington and Idaho, with interests in family eye care, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease and fitting contact lenses.

Some of his other interests include music, art, gardening and baking. He also enjoys hiking and the beautiful outdoors on adventures with his wife Sarah and their four children.
